Nelson has a passion for helping individuals connect their deeply held values with their investments and every day economic decisions. Nelson graduated with a B.A. in Religion from Princeton in 2005. In addition to a Masters in Divinity from Union Theological Seminary and a Masters in Theology from Princeton Theological Seminary, Nelson earned his doctorate in Theology, Ethics and Culture with a focus on Christian theological ethics in regards to economics, human flourishing and ecology from the University of Virginia in 2017. He is an ordained minister in the Presbyterian Church (USA). Nelson has been actively involved in the community with a number of organizations including RVA Rapid Transit, Shalom Farms, Maggie Walker Community Land Trust, Thriving Cities Group, Virginia Center for Inclusive Communities, and Grace Covenant Presbyterian Church. In 2018, Nelson received the Servant Leader Award from Leadership Metro Richmond. He resides in Richmond with his two sons, Eason and Asher.
